Company Liquidation in SAIF Zone

The company liquidation process in the SAIF Zone involves a structured process, starting with the investor preparing a board resolution to liquidate the company, which involves returning original company documents, including trade licenses, incorporation certificates, memoranda of association, tenancy certificates, and investor agreements. If missing documents are found, a lost record certificate can be obtained from the police station and submitted to the free zone. The process also involves:

  • Collecting NOCs from Port and Customs.
  • Etisalat.
  • Submitting an Auditor Certificate for Liquidation.
  • The process takes 15–20 days.

The company must submit a request letter and board resolution signed by all directors and attested by the UAE Consulate. The company must also pay the SAIF Zone Liquidation Fee, which includes late fees, publication notice fees, immigration card cancellation fees, and visa cancellation fees. A clearance letter from the SAIF Zone facilities management, visa department, and customs is required. Office keys must be handed over to the SAIF Zone authority, and outstanding payments must be cleared. Original company documents must be returned to the SAIF Zone.
